Buttons, Banners, and Scarves, Oh My!
I've made quite a few of these, all of them fandom themed (so far, anyway). Stamps were a deviantArt thing as far as I can tell, but 88x31 buttons have been all over the web since before I was born. Scarves, however, are a far more recent thing, for all that they're not all that common anymore. They have their roots in early 2010s fandom culture, and all signs point to their genesis being the house scarves of the wizard school. Baelor started the trend as far as anyone can tell, so they get credit for it, but they're not around anymore.

The Misadventures of Tallulah Casey
Tallulah Casey was my favourite series all through highschool, I found her antics a comforting read as a lonely teenager and even now that I'm on the other side of 25 I still turn to them when I want something easy. You can read more about my feelings on her here, or by clicking on the dangling scarf with three owls on the right side of the page (the pastel scarves don't go anywhere yet).

Georgia Nicolson
I never got as attached to Georgia as I did to Tallulah, possibly just because I read her books second. I never actually got to finish reading her books in high school because the nature of school libraries meant someone else was always reading the one I wanted. I ended up getting all ten at once from an op-shop, mostly matching paperbacks with a few hard covers, and very sun-faded on the spines. That pre-worn-in state meant that I didn't feel guilty when I accidentally spilled a little tea on one of them.

The Deep
The Deep is a cartoon series I got into when I was 15, and continued to watch as an adult while caring for my youngest brother. I liked Fontaine the most when I was her age, but Alpheus ended up stealing the show for me from the moment I saw him. Once again, you can read more by clicking here or on the fanciest scarf to the left of the page.

Make your own!
I made the blinkies through Blinkies.Cafe, but all the buttons, stamps, and scarves I edited myself with Paint.net, even (some of) the animated ones. For those, I used the plugin ImAGIF. Since first making this page, I've also used libresprite for some, pro motion - v8 for others, and have also caved and bought Aseprite when it was on sale.
Buttons are almost always 88x31, but I have seen a few 130x55 ones, and Blinkies are either 150x30 or 150x60.
I can't credit myself with all the fancyness, I modified one of the templates from this pack for the Tallulah Casey buttons and the edges of a frame from here for the animated Benthos Files button. If you want to get fancy with the scarves though, here are some templates to start you off!

The code I use to put them in my header can be found here and here. It's adapted from Baelor's original code for tumblr themes, which can still be found through the fanlore page (I've linked it in the sidebar). That code is for all 8 scarves I have hanging, but you can cut it down to only the scarves you need or even add more if you'd like.
